Description Two journals kept on trips by John H. Farnham. The first, kept from 9-16 June 1806, describes a trip from Newburyport, Massachusetts, to Boston, and from Boston by sea to Portland, Me., and on to Waterford, Me. The second describes a trip from Jeffersonville, Indiana, to New England and back, kept from 20 Jun-9 Oct 1825, with descriptions of Ohio, New York (including Niagara Falls), and Massachusetts. Also included is a brief account of additional trips to Massachusetts, Ohio, Wisconsin, and New York taken between 1821 and 1832.
