Description Elsie travelled from London to Switzerland by train and boat, passing through Brussels, Luxumbourg, Strasbourg and Basle before moving on to Lucerne. She makes notes on her journey and travel companions, as well as her impressions of their hotel. She includes many photographs and postcards of Lucerne and its environs, with handwritten captions describing their contents and her impressions, often in poetic language. She takes several day trips, often by steamboat, and largely to visit churches. Also includes some correspondence, a poem about Lucerne and several tickets.
